Diversified Construction recently completed construction at Circulo de Amigos ChildCare in Minneapolis.
Circulo de Amigos opened in a formerly abandoned Spanish Colonial Revival Style building off of Cedar Avenue, originally built in 1878. The building was condemned/boarded for a period of about 10 years prior to Circulo de Amigo’s purchase of the property.
The two-story, 7,000 square foot building needed a substantial amount of work to bring it to a usable state; an entirely new structural system was built from within the building followed by new HVAC, water service, fire sprinkler protection, plumbing, electrical, newly installed handicap lift, windows and a new roof.
The Puebla style structure is now beautifully restored; featuring some exposed elements of the original structure along with bright colors, modern amenities and outdoor playground areas.
